Kerala Piravi, or Kerala Formation Day, commemorates the state’s formation on November 1, 1956. This day marks the merger of the regions of Malabar, Cochin, and Travancore to form the unified state of Kerala. The historic event has played a significant role in shaping Kerala’s distinct culture, language, and identity.
Miss Ardra Manoj from the Malayalam Department delivered an inspiring introductory speech, setting the tone for the Kerala Piravi celebration. She highlighted the importance of Kerala’s formation and its rich cultural heritage.
Students from Classes 8, 9, and 4 presented a captivating Nrithavishkaram performance, showcasing their talent and creativity. The energetic and vibrant performance was a testament to the students’ dedication and enthusiasm.
The vibrant costumes and accessories enhanced the cultural richness of the performance, with students dressed in traditional Kerala attire, including kasavu sarees and mundu.
